The Ring Process
From the moment that you begin exploring our collection until your finished ring in is hand, we are here to listen and guide you through the process with insight, intuition, and creative expertise.
Whether transforming heirloom pieces into something new, upgrading to something more impressive, or finding that first heart-stopping ring, we are honored to help you bring your vision to life.
Our diamond rings are exceptional because they are made uniquely for the wearer, making them exclusive, memorable, and personal. Your ring is the ultimate storyteller of your style and commitment. The process takes an average of 4-6 weeks, from start to finish.
Discovery
The first step is to find your perfect ring. In your initial consultation, we will share ideas, discover your preferences, and determine what you’ll love wearing. It is very common to change direction in the beginning. That’s okay with us! Often, we end up blending ideas from different styles and sketching them for you to visualize. After we’ve uncovered your unique style, we will move on to the next phase. At this point, we can provide an approximate cost estimate and discuss next steps. Our goal is to deliver a ring that reflects exactly who you are.
CAD Design
Next, we transform your ideas with our 3D-modeling system. State-of-the-art computer-aided design software will bring your vision to life. We develop renderings of the finished ring by detailing its form, shape, gemstone position, and texture. This allows you to view your ring from every angle and allows you to assess and adjust the design.
Modeling
Once we have worked together to create your perfect ring, we will produce a model with a 3D printer. At this stage, we will be able to send pictures of an actual scale model prior to the next phase, casting. This is the best stage for implementing any final alterations.
Casting
We are now ready to cast your ring in the precious metal of your choice. In addition to platinum, we offer various types and shades of gold, and our diamonds are quality G color and VS clarity. After casting, your ring will be sent to a trusted, professional stone setter who will painstakingly set each diamond or gemstone. Depending on your ring’s design, this phase can range from straightforward to very complicated. After your ring passes a thorough quality inspection, we will apply your desired finish. Your ring can be polished, brushed, satin-finished, sandblasted, or other finishing options. Lastly, your ring will be inspected a final time before moving on to the final phase.
