After moving to Scottsdale, I’m delighted to have found Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs, a full-service business with a wonderful, helpful staff. They spent considerable time getting to know my taste to assure that the ring designed for my diamond would be perfectly suited to me. There was no rush and no pressure. Walter, a highly skilled designer and craftsman, created a gorgeous ring I’ll enjoy wearing for years to come! In addition to designing that piece, Walter repaired a beautiful ring that is a treasured heirloom, adjusted the sizing on another ring, and updated appraisals on a number of my jewelry pieces. It was a great pleasure working with Walter, Charlene, and Tina, and I feel confident I can trust them to assist with all my future jewelry needs!

I had an engagement ring made at Cornelis Hollander in March. It turned out more beautiful than I could’ve hoped for. Walter was very accommodating and helped me find the perfect one. He asked questions and really worked with me to find something within my price range. I proposed, and my now fiancé, absolutely loves her ring! Super grateful for Walter and his services. I worked in the jewelry industry for a few years and know how unscrupulous some stores can be. I was so impressed with the care I received when I chose the new setting for my stone. I brought in heirloom pieces of Jewelry to Cornelis. Most of which didn't fit me and wanted to make a ring with all of the different pieces that I could wear. She helped me through the process of narrowing things down then helped me step by step with all of the variables that come with an engagement ring. Walter and the staff at Cornelis Hollander Designs are awesome! Had zero experience with shopping for jewelry, let alone designing a custom piece. They took the time to show me multiple rings and point out the features that accentuated each one, respectively. We compiled the elements I liked from several of them. Within 48hrs I had a rendering of what the ring would look like (didn’t even realize I was designing it with them). They took my feedback, we went back and forth several times (staff is amazingly patient) until it was perfect, and then delivered perfection! The biggest part of this was using stones from an existing ring with heavy sentimental value. I never once felt that I had to worry about the quality of the work, the preservation of the stones or the beauty of the finished ring. The only hard part was hiding it while traveling with my then girlfriend, and now fiancée. Thanks for perfect ring for a perfect person!

My fiancé proposed to me with a family heirloom ring as a 'stand-in' for THE ring which he wanted me to design/select as we would be using a gorgeous diamond that he had been bequeathed. He had already done some research and really loved the unique designs offered by Cornelis Hollander. We visited the store and I absolutely fell in love with their designs ~ especially one. My fiancé took me to several other stores to ensure that I would have a ring that was made especially for me. I saw hundreds of beautiful rings but could not stop comparing them to the design I fell in love with in Cornelis Hollander Needless to say, I went back and worked with Tina on making their design Uniquely my own. She was wonderful and patient ~ My ring is perfection and I am so thankful for their fine customer service and craftsmanship!! I am definitely one of their new and loyal customers!

Our first experience with Cornelis was in 2002 when my husband Peter surprised me with a beautiful ring. It was the classic white gold ring where the diamond sets on top of a heart shaped trio of diamonds, the most unique ring I had ever seen. I still love it today! That was the start of our experience with Cornelis and his outstanding designs. Over the next several years, we made it a point to drop in and see the new designs and Peter thoroughly enjoyed talking with Cornelis about anything and everything. And I had the opportunity to buy more jewelry! Peter came home from a fishing trip in Tahiti with a very large black pearl and he just knew that Cornelis was the person to design the perfect ring to best display this magnificent large pearl. I even had Cornelis design a pair of very unique drop earrings made from both yellow and white gold that I had designed in my head and he created them for me exactly as I had pictured. I continue to get so many compliments on them. I never shopped for jewelry anywhere else. Of course it was the beautiful and contemporary designs but Cornelis added that extra special touch with his casual, easy going personality that we liked so much. We have been retired for the last few years so unfortunately not able to buy more jewelry. We do think of Cornelis and of course reminded of him every time I wear one of his designs. I have been using this jeweler for years and I love their original designs. Many are so simplistic that they yell classic and you know they will hold up over time. I have used their designs and I've had them make some of my own designs. Either way the pieces come out perfectly. I am often stopped and asked where I bought my jewelry and without a moment of hesitation, I recommend Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs. There aren't enough adjectives or enough stars to totally describe the wonderful experience that you will have in this store.

I researched several jewelers in town before choosing CH to design my 20th anniversary diamond ring. I had been saving ideas for over 2 years. I knew I liked specific design elements from several different rings, but I didn't know how they could all possibly come together. CH had tons of designs that were along the same idea that I was looking for- modern but still looks like an actual engagement ring, and of course unique! We sat down with Walter and went over all of my ideas and pictures I had saved over 2 years. He is a true artist! He took his time and came up with several different designs incorporating all of the details I was looking for. I kept changing little things during the design process, but he remained totally calm and understanding- and kept his sense of humor during the entire process! It took a couple month to complete because I kept changing things, but the final ring is exactly everything that I wanted!!! We were so happy with the process and the end result that I had him make my mother's engagement ring into a pendant a couple weeks later! We will definitely be using him for all of our jewelry needs going forward. We just can't recommend him enough!!

I engaged Cornelis Hollander, and specifically Tina and Walter, to help me create a custom engagement ring for my fiancé. Both were incredibly patient as we worked through a number of iterations of the ring design to land upon a piece that is truly beautiful, artistic and structurally sound. It was an ambitious undertaking, but Walter really went all out to create an amazing ring! It is just stunning and artistically unique. My wife and I chose Cornelis Hollander after interviewing a couple of top custom jewelers. Walter was perfect for us. They have a portfolio of fabulous designs to start with. My wife Esther and I are both designers and wanted to create something unique to replace her current wedding ring. Walter worked together with Esther capturing her design ideas perfectly. He did 3D imaging first, then when details were worked out, he did a 3D printing of the ring to ensure everything is perfect before manufacturing it. We couldn’t be happier with the results! We wouldn’t go to anyone else and give them our highest recommendation!

My husband and I have had nothing short of a positive experience with Cornelis. Both our wedding rings were custom made by Cornelis - and we LOVE them. I also had my pearls restrung and some earrings made - all of which came out perfect! I purchased a BEAUTIFUL wedding ring, a pair of diamond studs, and two high end watches from Cornelis. He had been my jeweler to go to because I TRUST him completely. Not only his designs are exquisite but his service is beyond satisfactory. I lost two small diamonds in the setting and Cornelis, not only replaced them at no cost, but he cleaned and polished the ring for me. I miss Cornelis but I have no doubt the team he left behind is doing an excellent job as the legend himself.

This business was very helpful and when I asked for assistance in checking on men's wedding bands they were very prompt in giving me what I needed. This family owned business has beautiful works of art and designs in the jewelry that they sale. Especially in the wedding rings for women. The men's wedding bands are just as beautiful as well. You will find that nothing is ordinary and no design is stationary. I was caught between different rings and Cornelis picked my brain until we came out with a design mixture that I can call my own. I have been a customer of Cornelius Hollander Design for at least 20 years. They are ethical and have nothing but the highest integrity. I have many beautiful pieces designed and made personally by Cornelius. Unfortunately, he passed away due to illness several years ago. His son Walter has taken over the business and he has inherited his fathers creativity and artistry, but adds a twist of his own. He shares the same integrity that they have always had. Have purchased 2 different Rings designed by Cornells Hollander. These pieces are absolutely the most beautiful and extremely unique designs that I've ever seen. Just had to buy them for my wife. Met Cornelis and He was absolutely one of the most wonderful gentlemen you would ever want to meet. He added some special touches to our orders and we were astounded with him. I recently found myself reading that Cornelis has recently passed away and my wife and I are deeply saddened. This is my absolute favorite store! I have four rings that I have ordered and designed through CH in the past 20 years. I can’t say enough good things about their work, quality, and designs. I get more compliments on my rings and I can’t stop looking at them. I am already thinking of getting another ring or necklace. It was a pleasure to work and meet Cornelis in the past. Okay, so I never should have looked at the ads, that would have saved me lots of money. But, I did, and then a detour had to occur so I could see the rings in person (we were in Sedona). First, I was in touch with Walter and later Tina from Hollander Jewelry. Tina was the person with whom I met after our correspondence. She was also the person who looked up all the prices of the rings that I had seen (in the ad) and lusted for (possibly) and then got back to me via emails prior to my visit. It was inevitable that I would find a ring that I wanted, the question was would I be willing to fork out the money. Well, I did. The ring arrived (Tina kept in touch, so I knew when to expect the ring), which was a good thing because my post office left it at my front door. I don't know what else could have been done because I was supposed to sign for the package, but that issue is "on" my post office, not the store. My ring is utterly lovely and I feel like a young lady who has to stare at her shiny glittery ring.

I had my engagement ring and wedding band custom designed at Cornelis Hollander and it is absolutely beautiful. When my (now) husband and I went into the store, we were immediately taken care of, and were shown so many different options. We ended up taking one of Cornelis' designs, and making it our own. I love that my ring is different, and no one else has one exactly like it. I have received so many compliments over the years and everyone always says they love how different my ring is, and they've never seen anything like it. The craftsmanship and design are impeccable.
