I have been a customer for almost 20 years now. I traveled from Denver to Scottsadle to get an engagement ring created...for round 2 ; ) Cornelis designed my first tension set engagement ring that had my grandmother's diamond in it. So when it was time to re-design, knowing I wanted to use the same stone, there was no place else I was going to go. It was a pleasure to meet and work with Walter, and I was sorry to hear about the passing of his father. I brought my first ring that his dad designed with me, and I saw his eyes light up upon holding it. Once we knew I was going with another Hollander design, he asked to purchase it from me. That meant so much...as it was from another time in my life, but it held many great memories and I hope someone else enjoys wearing it as much as I did. And as for my NEW ring, it's AMAZING and I get so many compliments on it. I very much feel like part of the family at Hollander and would not go anywhere else for my jewelry needs. Although as Walter said, " I'm happy to make you anything you like, but no more engagement rings!"

Loved my ring buying experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and I even got a great deal. We just picked up our engagement ring and couldn't be happier with the work, service and experience we had here. We needed a custom ring made from three heirloom rings that we already had. Other jewelers that we talked to were either not excited about doing the work or wanted too long to do it. Walking in the door and meeting Charlene, Cornelis and Walter made us feel instantly at ease and like they had our best interests at heart.. Walter sent us a custom design that was exactly what we talked about within days, and had the ring done in less than two weeks! All of this happened at a very fair affordable price, we will be returning soon to purchase my wedding band.

I was given a diamond ring that has been in a drawer for over 5 years. It was lovely, but not my style. I took the ring to Cornelis and asked him to reset it in a different design. I picked it up today and it took my breath away. The ring is exquisite! It brought tears to my eyes, because instead of being kept in a drawer these diamonds will be kept on my finger. My wedding ring is an original CH design. Was honored to meet the designer (Cornelis Hollander) many years ago at the Scottsdale store. Now his son Walter, designed a matching band for my wedding ring, he took my vision and was able to create the most unique band, it is gorgeous! The apple did not fall far from the tree. Walter is fantastic to work with. I love my “new” wedding ring set - if that is even possible. Exceptional workmanship and design. Will be back for a second band. Walter and the staff at Cornelis Hollander Designs are awesome! Had zero experience with shopping for jewelry, let alone designing a custom piece. They took the time to show me multiple rings and point out the features that accentuated each one, respectively. We compiled the elements I liked from several of them. Within 48hrs I had a rendering of what the ring would look like (didn’t even realize I was designing it with them). They took my feedback, we went back and forth several times (staff is amazingly patient) until it was perfect, and then delivered perfection! The biggest part of this was using stones from an existing ring with heavy sentimental value. I never once felt that I had to worry about the quality of the work, the preservation of the stones or the beauty of the finished ring. The only hard part was hiding it while traveling with my then girlfriend, and now fiancée. Thanks for perfect ring for a perfect person!

My husband and I have had nothing short of a positive experience with Cornelis. Both our wedding rings were custom made by Cornelis - and we LOVE them. I also had my pearls restrung and some earrings made - all of which came out perfect! I have been eyeing these designs for years, just waiting for the right time. When the time came I reached out on line and Tina was awesome from the start. She helped me through the process of narrowing things down then helped me step by step with all of the variables that come with an engagement ring. Once I was finally ready to come in person she met me there and guided me through all of the choices with good advice and TONS of patience. She made sure I was 100% confident in what I chose and assured me if there was anything that needed to be changed or adjusted she would have it done right away. Once I chose the right one she made sure it was ready for me ahead of schedule so I my proposal wasn't delayed. I would recommend them to anyone looking for jewelry. Their designs are one of a kind and so is their service.

Excellent customer service! I had a pair of gold/ diamond earrings that my husband had given me 25 years ago. The clasp had broken And I brought it to Cornelis Hollander for repair. They did such a beautiful job restoring them to the original luster! The repair cost was so reasonable as well I was surprised! I wish I could give them more stars. Cornelius was instrumental in founding a major change in the jewelry industry by making his custom pieces wearable art. I worked in the jewelry industry for a few years and know how unscrupulous some stores can be. I was so impressed with the care I received when I chose the new setting for my stone. Walter took all the time I needed to select the perfect setting. I was blessed to be one of Cornelis last customers and he spent time exposing everything. Outstanding customer service. I had a very special case, where my beautiful ring of over 23 years got stolen during a summer vacation. This ring was a gift from my dear mother in law. I was able to track and contact the designers, which are Cornelis Hollander. The care and personalized service I received was like no other. They provided me with a detailed document that described the specifications of the ring precisely to present it to my insurance company. It is not easy to provide specifications of a ring that was purchased over 23 years ago. But with patience and their expertise, they were able to do so. This was a very emotional matter to me, Walter and Christa and their whole team were empathetic and very supportive. I can't wait to work with them, hopefully soon, to design a replica of my ring to honor my mother in law. Thank you Cornelis Hollander and the whole team, you have set the bar very high !

We worked with Walter designing my dream engagement ring. He was very attentive to what I was looking for and designed a few versions until I was happy with every aspect of the design. Walter had several suggestions that worked out great and made my ring unique. He emailed me 3D versions so I can get a visual on each version. I selected the design I wanted then I was presented with a wax version, so I could try it on before making the actual ring. When the ring was complete, we were extremely happy with the finished product, the beautiful high-quality craftsmanship was evident. The location of the store in the Scottsdale Arts District totally fits the vibe of this store. This was my first time at Cornelis Hollander and I'm happy to keep coming back to Walter for gorgeous jewelry.

My wife and I chose Cornelis Hollander after interviewing a couple of top custom jewelers. Walter was perfect for us. They have a portfolio of fabulous designs to start with. My wife Esther and I are both designers and wanted to create something unique to replace her current wedding ring. Walter worked together with Esther capturing her design ideas perfectly. He did 3D imaging first, then when details were worked out, he did a 3D printing of the ring to ensure everything is perfect before manufacturing it. We couldn’t be happier with the results! We wouldn’t go to anyone else and give them our highest recommendation!

This is my favorite jewelry store to go and look around. All the jewelry is hand made and one of a kind! Always kind people working here that help you out and explain everything clear. We got our Wedding rings here, after talking with the owner he supplied us with what jewel works with the right metal we choose for our rings. It was a quick process and we are more than happy with the experience!!

I first met Cornelis back in 2006 when I purchased a car from him. He was an absolute lunatic in all the best ways, and it showed in both his taste in cars and his stunningly unique jewelry designs. I loved that he stayed in touch with not only creating ultra high end custom pieces but also offering lines of unique, stunning, very affordable things as well.Since he passed away, his wife and son have been keeping things going, and Walter has done a great job filling in his father's shoes, keeping with the same principles of exceptional service that makes their business a no-brainer.I needed to buy an engagement ring about 6 years ago, when Cornelis was still with us, and he took my grandmother's old diamond and designed an absolutely stunning piece around it (pictured below). When it was unfortunately stolen, Jeweler's Mutual insurance paid completely for its replacement, and Walter's recreation of it was so perfect, down to his selection of the diamond, that I literally couldn't tell the difference if you put a gun to my head and a loupe in my hand, and the whole process couldn't have possibly been more hassle free (I don't even live in the state anymore, so everything done with the ring, from first purchase to replacement - was all done over the phone and email) I can't say what I paid, but let me just say that it was un-freaking-believably reasonable.Cornelis also took care of my family's request to have some custom pieces made in memorial of my grandparents. Both Cornelis and Walter have been so good to my family that as long as Walter keeps the business going, he will be getting every single jewelry job that I ever need. It was very sad when Cornelis passed - everyone wore orange on the day of his funeral - even me, who couldn't make it there - but Walter has truly filled his eccentric father's shoes and the business is as spectacular as it ever was.

Our first experience with Cornelis was in 2002 when my husband Peter surprised me with a beautiful ring. It was the classic white gold ring where the diamond sets on top of a heart shaped trio of diamonds, the most unique ring I had ever seen. I still love it today! That was the start of our experience with Cornelis and his outstanding designs. Over the next several years, we made it a point to drop in and see the new designs and Peter thoroughly enjoyed talking with Cornelis about anything and everything. And I had the opportunity to buy more jewelry! Peter came home from a fishing trip in Tahiti with a very large black pearl and he just knew that Cornelis was the person to design the perfect ring to best display this magnificent large pearl. I even had Cornelis design a pair of very unique drop earrings made from both yellow and white gold that I had designed in my head and he created them for me exactly as I had pictured. I continue to get so many compliments on them. I never shopped for jewelry anywhere else. Of course it was the beautiful and contemporary designs but Cornelis added that extra special touch with his casual, easy going personality that we liked so much. We have been retired for the last few years so unfortunately not able to buy more jewelry. We do think of Cornelis and of course reminded of him every time I wear one of his designs.
