I cannot say enough amazing things about Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs. My now husband and I found them while we were living in Arizona. As soon as we walked in the door for the first time, my husband knew immediately that he would be purchasing my engagement ring from there. I was so incredibly impressed with the uniqueness of each design and their willingness to customize each piece to make it that much more unique and special. I could not imagine having my engagement ring come from anywhere else, as it is truly one of a kind. Even though we live in Ohio now, my husband and I still look to Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs for all of our jewelry needs!

My fiancé proposed to me with a family heirloom ring as a 'stand-in' for THE ring which he wanted me to design/select as we would be using a gorgeous diamond that he had been bequeathed. He had already done some research and really loved the unique designs offered by Cornelis Hollander. We visited the store and I absolutely fell in love with their designs ~ especially one. My wife has been collecting Cornelius Hollander jewelry for 35 years. Not only are they wonderful pieces of jewelry but Works of Art. Cornelius was instrumental in founding a major change in the jewelry industry by making his custom pieces wearable art. I engaged Cornelis Hollander, and specifically Tina and Walter, to help me create a custom engagement ring for my fiancé. Both were incredibly patient as we worked through a number of iterations of the ring design to land upon a piece that is truly beautiful, artistic and structurally sound. It was an ambitious undertaking, but Walter really went all out to create an amazing ring! It is just stunning and artistically unique. My fiancé just loves it and I could not be happier with this very special piece that memorializes how much we mean to one another. My boyfriend and I had gone to multiple retail locations to start the process of figuring out what we liked for engagement rings. At every storefront location, it seemed like the process was getting harder and much more stressful. The last stop was Cornelis Hollander. Walking in we knew immediately this experience was going to be different. Not only did it feel like the process of figuring out what we liked and wanted, we were confident in moving forward with custom engagement rings. We worked with Katie, who understood the initial overwhelm and was so helpful. With our experience, and the contrasting experience with other Jewlers, I’d highly recommend coming here. I’m also a vet, just returned home and the loud noises of big Jewlers/the flashy bs don’t help me when trying to stay focused, too many people creates a sense of anxiety. I can’t speak highly of this location and their team enough. It’s quiet, a one on one experience that feels like they have your best interest at heart. You can tell they love what they do.

Okay, so I never should have looked at the ads, that would have saved me lots of money. But, I did, and then a detour had to occur so I could see the rings in person (we were in Sedona). First, I was in touch with Walter and later Tina from Hollander Jewelry. Tina was the person with whom I met after our correspondence. She was also the person who looked up all the prices of the rings that I had seen (in the ad) and lusted for (possibly) and then got back to me via emails prior to my visit. It was inevitable that I would find a ring that I wanted, the question was would I be willing to fork out the money. Well, I did. The ring arrived (Tina kept in touch, so I knew when to expect the ring), which was a good thing because my post office left it at my front door. I don't know what else could have been done because I was supposed to sign for the package, but that issue is "on" my post office, not the store. My ring is utterly lovely and I feel like a young lady who has to stare at her shiny glittery ring.

Their quality is exceptional! All their pieces have perfect finishes. Their attention to detail is one of a kind. My husband picked the perfect engagement ring for me 18 years ago, along with our wedding bands. Sadly he recently past away from Covid -19. I will treasure those rings for the rest of my life and will pass them on to my daughter for her to treasure as well. I can trust they will last forever due to their quality. I had an engagement ring made at Cornelis Hollander in March. It turned out more beautiful than I could’ve hoped for. Walter was very accommodating and helped me find the perfect one. He asked questions and really worked with me to find something within my price range. I proposed, and my now fiancé, absolutely loves her ring! Super grateful for Walter and his services. I researched several jewelers in town before choosing CH to design my 20th anniversary diamond ring. I had been saving ideas for over 2 years. I knew I liked specific design elements from several different rings, but I didn’t know how they could all possibly come together. CH had tons of designs that were along the same idea that I was looking for- modern but still looks like an actual engagement ring, and of course unique! We sat down with Walter and went over all of my ideas and pictures I had saved over 2 years. He is a true artist! He took his time and came up with several different designs incorporating all of the details I was looking for. I kept changing little things during the design process, but he remained totally calm and understanding- and kept his sense of humor during the entire process! It took a couple month to complete because I kept changing things, but the final ring is exactly everything that I wanted!!! We were so happy with the process and the end result that I had him make my mother’s engagement ring into a pendant a couple weeks later! We will definitely be using him for all of our jewelry needs going forward. We just can’t recommend him enough!!

I have been a customer of Cornelius Hollander Design for at least 20 years. They are ethical and have nothing but the highest integrity. I have many beautiful pieces designed and made personally by Cornelius. Unfortunately, he passed away due to illness several years ago. His son Walter has taken over the business and he has inherited his fathers creativity and artistry, but adds a twist of his own. He shares the same integrity that they have always had. I have a Cornelis Hollander wedding ring that I purchased elsewhere many years ago. I LOVE my ring. It is stunning and unique as are all of the Cornelis Hollander designs. Unfortunately, I developed a gold contact allergy and went into Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs to have it reset in platinum. I happened to run into Tina who helped me when I originally bought the ring. It was a wonderful gift to see her again and she was very understanding about my allergy and very helpful. ( I have gone to other jewelers who were not as understanding about my allergy regarding other pieces.) I haven't gotten the ring back yet but I can't wait! If you want a beautiful piece of jewelry from a great, helpful crew, look no further!

I first met Cornelis back in 2006 when I purchased a car from him. He was an absolute lunatic in all the best ways, and it showed in both his taste in cars and his stunningly unique jewelry designs. I loved that he stayed in touch with not only creating ultra high end custom pieces but also offering lines of unique, stunning, very affordable things as well.Since he passed away, his wife and son have been keeping things going, and Walter has done a great job filling in his father's shoes, keeping with the same principles of exceptional service that makes their business a no-brainer.I needed to buy an engagement ring about 6 years ago, when Cornelis was still with us, and he took my grandmother's old diamond and designed an absolutely stunning piece around it (pictured below). When it was unfortunately stolen, Jeweler's Mutual insurance paid completely for its replacement, and Walter's recreation of it was so perfect, down to his selection of the diamond, that I literally couldn't tell the difference if you put a gun to my head and a loupe in my hand, and the whole process couldn't have possibly been more hassle free (I don't even live in the state anymore, so everything done with the ring, from first purchase to replacement - was all done over the phone and email) I can't say what I paid, but let me just say that it was un-freaking-believably reasonable.Cornelis also took care of my family's request to have some custom pieces made in memorial of my grandparents. Both Cornelis and Walter have been so good to my family that as long as Walter keeps the business going, he will be getting every single jewelry job that I ever need. It was very sad when Cornelis passed - everyone wore orange on the day of his funeral - even me, who couldn't make it there - but Walter has truly filled his eccentric father's shoes and the business is as spectacular as it ever was.

Cornelis worked with me last year to update my wedding ring, utilizing my original stones but modernizing the setting with a bold, sleek design. I continue to get constant compliments on it. Recently, he helped me design and create a beautiful right-hand ring using a stone that I wanted re-set. He was great to work with and was very helpful in bringing my ideas to fruition. His staff is very friendly and helpful. The computer program they use is awesome, allowing you to actually see what your design will look like before committing. Love, love, love both rings and highly recommend Cornelis for his unique and stunning designs.

For my 20th anniversary my husband surprised me with a new diamond & researched who he thought would be the best jeweler to trust with the designing process from start to finish. Although the drive from Gilbert to Scottsdale was not ideal, Walter made sure it was worth it! He was very communicative & offered invaluable expertise & advice on the perfect design to complement my new diamond & celebrate our milestone anniversary. I had been looking for a unique, modern style for my wedding ring for a while when I met another girl whose ring caught my eye. Following her advice, I checked out the Cornelis Hollander store when I was in old town Scottsdale one day, and just fell in love with his designs. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. And unlike chain stores, where what you see is it, here they encourage you to be creative, pick and choose different parts of different rings that you like to come up with something truly your own. And Cornelis himself is there most of the time to help with the design process. We ended up feeling like he was more of a friend than just a jeweler. I get random people complimenting me on my ring all of the time now. Highly recommend!

First, I am truly sad that Cornelis is no longer with us; a true artist. He designed my ring as I requested, taking inspiration from 3 of his designs combined; came out exactly as imagined. Beautiful elegant and very different from all the every day wedding rings out there! This was my 3rd wedding ring I was changing because I just did’t quite like what was out there! 10 years later and I’m still in love with my ring! I have my eyes set on another beautiful ring...I’ll be visiting the shop soon! I hope his children will be able to carry on his legacy! I have been a customer for almost 20 years now. I traveled from Denver to Scottsadle to get an engagement ring created...for round 2 ; ) Cornelis designed my first tension set engagement ring that had my grandmother's diamond in it. So when it was time to re-design, knowing I wanted to use the same stone, there was no place else I was going to go. It was a pleasure to meet and work with Walter, and I was sorry to hear about the passing of his father. I brought my first ring that his dad designed with me, and I saw his eyes light up upon holding it. Once we knew I was going with another Hollander design, he asked to purchase it from me. That meant so much...as it was from another time in my life, but it held many great memories and I hope someone else enjoys wearing it as much as I did. And as for my NEW ring, it's AMAZING and I get so many compliments on it. I very much feel like part of the family at Hollander and would not go anywhere else for my jewelry needs. Although as Walter said, " I'm happy to make you anything you like, but no more engagement rings!"

Excellent customer service! I had a pair of gold/ diamond earrings that my husband had given me 25 years ago. The clasp had broken And I brought it to Cornelis Hollander for repair. They did such a beautiful job restoring them to the original luster! The repair cost was so reasonable as well I was surprised! I wish I could give them more stars.
