I researched several jewelers in town before choosing CH to design my 20th anniversary diamond ring. I had been saving ideas for over 2 years. I knew I liked specific design elements from several different rings, but I didn’t know how they could all possibly come together. CH had tons of designs that were along the same idea that I was looking for- modern but still looks like an actual engagement ring, and of course unique! We sat down with Walter and went over all of my ideas and pictures I had saved over 2 years. He is a true artist! He took his time and came up with several different designs incorporating all of the details I was looking for. I kept changing little things during the design process, but he remained totally calm and understanding- and kept his sense of humor during the entire process! It took a couple month to complete because I kept changing things, but the final ring is exactly everything that I wanted!!! We were so happy with the process and the end result that I had him make my mother’s engagement ring into a pendant a couple weeks later! We will definitely be using him for all of our jewelry needs going forward. We just can’t recommend him enough!!

Several months ago, my life partner of 27 years passed away, and I was wanting to combine my ring with her rings in remembrance of her. I talked with several jewelers, but Walter was the only one that could offer me a solution for that. He put together an amazing ring, using her diamonds and the white gold from our rings. Loved my ring buying experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and I even got a great deal. I engaged Cornelis Hollander, and specifically Tina and Walter, to help me create a custom engagement ring for my fiancé. Both were incredibly patient as we worked through a number of iterations of the ring design to land upon a piece that is truly beautiful, artistic and structurally sound. I had my engagement ring and wedding band custom designed at Cornelis Hollander and it is absolutely beautiful. When my (now) husband and I went into the store, we were immediately taken care of, and were shown so many different options. We ended up taking one of Cornelis' designs, and making it our own. I love that my ring is different, and no one else has one exactly like it. I have received so many compliments over the years and everyone always says they love how different my ring is, and they've never seen anything like it. The craftsmanship and design are impeccable.

I love using Cornelis Hollander for all my jewelry needs. Everything I’ve had done is custom, but their catalogue is so unique. Walter asked great questions to draw up mock-ups of what I was looking for. Then, he adjusted the models with my feedback and crafted some beautiful pieces. This is a diligent family owned business that matches larger companies in their quality materials and prices, but they have such a unique style. I love telling my friends about this place - I get so many compliments on my jewelry I have to tell them where it is from. Favorite piece is a ring that Walter drew up a model of from a family heirloom. I had lost one of the two pearl earrings, and Walter made the one I had left into a beautiful ring. Love that it is repurposed and keeps meaning but is now a unique style that gets tons of compliments.

Dec 2020With my upcoming wedding anniversary coming up, I went and met with Walter to look at the various ring designs in person for a custom piece my husband was getting me. Mind you, I already knew that my new ring would be a Cornelis Hollander band- I fell in love with his designs the first time I saw them at least 10yrs ago and I finally was ready to get what I really wanted...And I wanted a Green Tourmaline ring like the one Cornelis Hollander designed!He was very helpful even at our first in person consultation and then we kept in contact over email within the next weeks with the various details of the ring design and cost estimates. At no point did I feel pressured or like Walter was being a "sales person", the whole process really felt casual, flexible... and I felt heard and understood and never rushed or pushed. When I got the visual of the approximate ring, I was so excited and then when I went in to try the wax sample, I was elated- their rings have a heft and a bold look to them that I just love and I didn't have a doubt it would be gorgeous once cast. I am in love with this beauty!Walter, thank you so much for your patience and working with me to get the piece I've been wanting for a decade! I feel so proud just to have this little piece of your father's creative legacy!

Our first experience with Cornelis was in 2002 when my husband Peter surprised me with a beautiful ring. It was the classic white gold ring where the diamond sets on top of a heart shaped trio of diamonds, the most unique ring I had ever seen. I still love it today! That was the start of our experience with Cornelis and his outstanding designs. Over the next several years, we made it a point to drop in and see the new designs and Peter thoroughly enjoyed talking with Cornelis about anything and everything. And I had the opportunity to buy more jewelry! Peter came home from a fishing trip in Tahiti with a very large black pearl and he just knew that Cornelis was the person to design the perfect ring to best display this magnificent large pearl. I even had Cornelis design a pair of very unique drop earrings made from both yellow and white gold that I had designed in my head and he created them for me exactly as I had pictured. I continue to get so many compliments on them. I never shopped for jewelry anywhere else. Of course it was the beautiful and contemporary designs but Cornelis added that extra special touch with his casual, easy going personality that we liked so much. We have been retired for the last few years so unfortunately not able to buy more jewelry. We do think of Cornelis and of course reminded of him every time I wear one of his designs. What an Incredible Experience. Cornelis Hollander deserve 10 Stars! To start, Walter is an incredible jewelry designer. I worked with Tina, Katie and Walter. I wanted a new design for a bracelet that was made in Greece. The piece is called "Evil Eye" or Mati" in Greek. The original design was made with paracord. I took the bracelet to Cornelis Hollander. My initial meeting was with Tina. We discussed options and Walter came up with some great redesign ideas. During to design process, I met with Tina, Katie and Walter. We put our heads together decided on a redesign of the bracelet. Since the main piece of the bracelet is 925 Sterling Silver, and Murano glass, we made the bracelet part in 925 Sterling Silver. The entire staff at Cornelis Hollander are such warm-hearted and very friendly people. They make you feel like they knew you for years. Our next project will be designing a new Sapphire/Diamond ring. Highly Recommend! I purchased my husbands ring after searching for months. I wanted to find something unique but nothing stood out enough until I found Cornelis Hollander in Old Town Scottsdale. We looked at all of the rings in his showroom and asked him to modify/customize one his own designs for us. On one occasion my husband had accidentally banged his ring on a door handle so hard that a few stones were knocked out and when we took it in for repair, they were replaced and the ring made to look new again at no cost to us. Flash forward a few more years when my husband's ring was lost. He loved the design so much that we had it replaced with exactly the same design, only changing the metal from 18k gold to Cobalt. We have been very pleased with their level of customer service and would highly recommend Cornelis Hollander if you want something unique, substantial and modern. It has been almost 14 years since our original purchase and probably about 10 since we replaced. Though we haven't taken it in for polishing in years, it still looks great!

Outstanding customer service. I had a very special case, where my beautiful ring of over 23 years got stolen during a summer vacation. This ring was a gift from my dear mother in law. I was able to track and contact the designers, which are Cornelis Hollander. The care and personalized service I received was like no other. They provided me with a detailed document that described the specifications of the ring precisely to present it to my insurance company. It is not easy to provide specifications of a ring that was purchased over 23 years ago. But with patience and their expertise, they were able to do so. This was a very emotional matter to me, Walter and Christa and their whole team were empathetic and very supportive. I can't wait to work with them, hopefully soon, to design a replica of my ring to honor my mother in law. Thank you Cornelis Hollander and the whole team, you have set the bar very high !

Excellent customer service! I had a pair of gold/ diamond earrings that my husband had given me 25 years ago. The clasp had broken And I brought it to Cornelis Hollander for repair. They did such a beautiful job restoring them to the original luster! The repair cost was so reasonable as well I was surprised! I wish I could give them more stars. I purchased a BEAUTIFUL wedding ring, a pair of diamond studs, and two high end watches from Cornelis. He had been my jeweler to go to because I TRUST him completely. Not only his designs are exquisite but his service is beyond satisfactory. I lost two small diamonds in the setting and Cornelis, not only replaced them at no cost, but he cleaned and polished the ring for me. I miss Cornelis but I have no doubt the team he left behind is doing an excellent job as the legend himself.

My wedding ring is an original CH design. Was honored to meet the designer (Cornelis Hollander) many years ago at the Scottsdale store. Now his son Walter, designed a matching band for my wedding ring, he took my vision and was able to create the most unique band, it is gorgeous! The apple did not fall far from the tree. Walter is fantastic to work with. I love my “new” wedding ring set - if that is even possible. Exceptional workmanship and design. Will be back for a second band. My son also purchased the engagement ring for his fiancé - a fabulous ring from CH. Walter and his staff were extremely helpful and made the purchase a pleasant experience for my son and his fiancé. I have been using this jeweler for years and I love their original designs. Many are so simplistic that they yell classic and you know they will hold up over time. I have used their designs and I've had them make some of my own designs. Either way the pieces come out perfectly. Walter and the team at Cornelis Hollander Jewelry were outstanding. From email response to in-person customer service, I felt confident that they would be able to handle my needs. My first job was fairly standard with the sizing of a platinum band, while my second job was to restore an antique heirloom ring. The job entailed shank replacement where yellow gold was used instead of rose gold plus sapphire replacement to match the original center stone. Both rings were completed beautifully, but Walter exceeded my expectations by ensuring my antique was fully restored with new prongs to ensure it will last another 100+ years.
