My wedding ring is an original CH design. Was honored to meet the designer (Cornelis Hollander) many years ago at the Scottsdale store. Now his son Walter, designed a matching band for my wedding ring, he took my vision and was able to create the most unique band, it is gorgeous! The apple did not fall far from the tree. Walter is fantastic to work with. I love my “new” wedding ring set - if that is even possible. Exceptional workmanship and design. Will be back for a second band. My son also purchased the engagement ring for his fiancé - a fabulous ring from CH. Walter and his staff were extremely helpful and made the purchase a pleasant experience for my son and his fiancé. My husband and I found this place after leaving another jeweler in tears. We wanted to encorporate my engagement ring with my two grandmothers' rings. The first jeweler we tried kept all three rings for 8 weeks only to give us an option for a completely new ring using NONE of the other rings we already had! So dumb! We drove by Cornelis Hollander and even though they were closing in 30 minutes, they took rings, listened to what I wanted and said they'd have a plan by the next morning. Not only did they send me a sketch of my ring, but they also did a 3-D mockup so I could see how it would look. They also had it completed in 8 days! I am so happy with my ring. They will be our jeweler for life! We were very sad to hear of Cornelis's passing, but know his son and the rest of the staff will easily continue the highest level of service and design. I have been a customer of Cornelius Hollander Design for at least 20 years. They are ethical and have nothing but the highest integrity. I have many beautiful pieces designed and made personally by Cornelius. Unfortunately, he passed away due to illness several years ago. His son Walter has taken over the business and he has inherited his fathers creativity and artistry, but adds a twist of his own. He shares the same integrity that they have always had. He is redesigning my wedding band, which I look forward to.

My husband went to Cornelius Hollander for a brand new wedding ring after our 12 yr wedding anniversary. Tina was his salesperson , even though the ring wasn't ready by the first date we were given , because Tina said the designer was a perfectionist. I was okay with waiting a little longer after 12 yrs . My husband designed the ring custom made just for me, so it was worth the wait. I am very pleased with the finished product! Thanks Tina! I look at my ring and smile everyday . I absolutely Love it!

My husband and I have had nothing short of a positive experience with Cornelis. Both our wedding rings were custom made by Cornelis - and we LOVE them. I also had my pearls restrung and some earrings made - all of which came out perfect! I engaged Cornelis Hollander, and specifically Tina and Walter, to help me create a custom engagement ring for my fiancé. Both were incredibly patient as we worked through a number of iterations of the ring design to land upon a piece that is truly beautiful, artistic and structurally sound. It was an ambitious undertaking, but Walter really went all out to create an amazing ring! It is just stunning and artistically unique. My fiancé just loves it and I could not be happier with this very special piece that memorializes how much we mean to one another. I purchased a custom wedding band and engagement ring set that Cornelis made specifically for my fiancé and now wife of Ten Years! My soulmate constantly gets compliments from everyone, everywhere we go. “I’ve never seen a ring like that” “ that’s awesome where did you get that?” My wife says and you never will! She says this was made just for me.....& her eyes sparkle when she says it! I think anyone can go to a box store and buy a mass produced price of jewelry, but why would you? You get one true love in life! Why not get your partner something as rare, special, unique, and beautiful as they are and what they mean to you! This is the most attention and customer service friendly place I’ve ever purchased jewelry from. I have high dollar watches etc from other boutiques however they don’t follow up. I still get follow up email and calls from CH to make sure I’m happy! I was devastated to hear Cornelis had passed but krista ( sorry if I misspelled that) and his son still carry the torch with integrity, design, and style! I don’t usually take time to write reviews, but they took time to make my day special! It’s only fair to be honest and tell you how great this family and brand truly are. I was given a diamond ring that has been in a drawer for over 5 years. It was lovely, but not my style. I took the ring to Cornelis and asked him to reset it in a different design. I picked it up today and it took my breath away. The ring is exquisite! It brought tears to my eyes, because instead of being kept in a drawer these diamonds will be kept on my finger. For my 20th anniversary my husband surprised me with a new diamond & researched who he thought would be the best jeweler to trust with the designing process from start to finish. Although the drive from Gilbert to Scottsdale was not ideal, Walter made sure it was worth it! He was very communicative & offered invaluable expertise & advice on the perfect design to complement my new diamond & celebrate our milestone anniversary. It turned out stunning & we couldn’t be more pleased with the end result. We also had him re make an anniversary band of mine that I just didn’t wear often enough because of the design. I had been looking for a unique, modern style for my wedding ring for a while when I met another girl whose ring caught my eye. Following her advice, I checked out the Cornelis Hollander store when I was in old town Scottsdale one day, and just fell in love with his designs. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. And unlike chain stores, where what you see is it, here they encourage you to be creative, pick and choose different parts of different rings that you like to come up with something truly your own. And Cornelis himself is there most of the time to help with the design process. We ended up feeling like he was more of a friend than just a jeweler. I get random people complimenting me on my ring all of the time now. Highly recommend!

Walter and the staff at Cornelis Hollander Designs are awesome! Had zero experience with shopping for jewelry, let alone designing a custom piece. They took the time to show me multiple rings and point out the features that accentuated each one, respectively. We compiled the elements I liked from several of them. Within 48hrs I had a rendering of what the ring would look like (didn’t even realize I was designing it with them). They took my feedback, we went back and forth several times (staff is amazingly patient) until it was perfect, and then delivered perfection! The biggest part of this was using stones from an existing ring with heavy sentimental value. I never once felt that I had to worry about the quality of the work, the preservation of the stones or the beauty of the finished ring. The only hard part was hiding it while traveling with my then girlfriend, and now fiancée. Thanks for perfect ring for a perfect person!

I researched several jewelers in town before choosing CH to design my 20th anniversary diamond ring. I had been saving ideas for over 2 years. I knew I liked specific design elements from several different rings, but I didn’t know how they could all possibly come together. CH had tons of designs that were along the same idea that I was looking for- modern but still looks like an actual engagement ring, and of course unique! We sat down with Walter and went over all of my ideas and pictures I had saved over 2 years. He is a true artist! He took his time and came up with several different designs incorporating all of the details I was looking for. I kept changing little things during the design process, but he remained totally calm and understanding- and kept his sense of humor during the entire process! It took a couple month to complete because I kept changing things, but the final ring is exactly everything that I wanted!!! We were so happy with the process and the end result that I had him make my mother’s engagement ring into a pendant a couple weeks later! We will definitely be using him for all of our jewelry needs going forward. We just can’t recommend him enough!!

My experiences at Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs have been very positive. I have not been able to wear my wedding ring or engagement ring for many years. Both were too big. I had gone to another jeweler first for my wedding ring and they said they could not fix it. After Hollander's did a great job fixing my wedding ring, I decided to get another setting for my engagement ring. Even my husband commented on how nice it looks. So much nicer than the original setting. Since I have not compared prices, I cannot comment on cost. However, I definitely would recommend the quality of their work.

Loved my ring buying experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and I even got a great deal. I was terrified when starting my search for an engagement ring but the staff at Cornelis put me at ease and assured me they will try to find me a ring that works within my budget and they have easy to understand and qualify for financing. My husband picked the perfect engagement ring for me 18 years ago, along with our wedding bands. Sadly he recently past away from Covid -19. I had an engagement ring made at Cornelis Hollander in March. It turned out more beautiful than I could’ve hoped for. Walter was very accommodating and helped me find the perfect one. He asked questions and really worked with me to find something within my price range. I proposed, and my now fiancé, absolutely loves her ring! Super grateful for Walter and his services. We will definitely be coming back to him for the wedding bands!

Absolutely love my engagement ring from Cornelis Hollander!!! My fiance and I worked with Walter to have a diamond I inherited set into a new setting. The entire process was easy and Walter was very professional. We were considering other options from Hamras, Tiffany's and Cartier, but I loved this design and wanted something more unique. I couldn't be happier with how the ring turned out! These iphone pictures don't do it justice. I highly recommend C.H. if you're looking to have custom work done! 🙂 Just updating to add that we had Walter make me a wedding band with pink diamonds & it turned out beautiful!!! It compliments the ring perfectly. I also like having the band to wear by itself when I travel overseas since it is less flashy. It is very cute, almost heart-shaped, and looks great on it's own! FYI - the photo of the two rings together was also taken with my iphone, so the quality isn't great.

I love using Cornelis Hollander for all my jewelry needs. Everything I’ve had done is custom, but their catalogue is so unique. Walter asked great questions to draw up mock-ups of what I was looking for. Then, he adjusted the models with my feedback and crafted some beautiful pieces. This is a diligent family owned business that matches larger companies in their quality materials and prices, but they have such a unique style. I love telling my friends about this place - I get so many compliments on my jewelry I have to tell them where it is from. Favorite piece is a ring that Walter drew up a model of from a family heirloom. I had lost one of the two pearl earrings, and Walter made the one I had left into a beautiful ring. Love that it is repurposed and keeps meaning but is now a unique style that gets tons of compliments.

Our first experience with Cornelis was in 2002 when my husband Peter surprised me with a beautiful ring. It was the classic white gold ring where the diamond sets on top of a heart shaped trio of diamonds, the most unique ring I had ever seen. I still love it today! That was the start of our experience with Cornelis and his outstanding designs. Over the next several years, we made it a point to drop in and see the new designs and Peter thoroughly enjoyed talking with Cornelis about anything and everything. And I had the opportunity to buy more jewelry! Peter came home from a fishing trip in Tahiti with a very large black pearl and he just knew that Cornelis was the person to design the perfect ring to best display this magnificent large pearl. I even had Cornelis design a pair of very unique drop earrings made from both yellow and white gold that I had designed in my head and he created them for me exactly as I had pictured. I continue to get so many compliments on them. I never shopped for jewelry anywhere else. Of course it was the beautiful and contemporary designs but Cornelis added that extra special touch with his casual, easy going personality that we liked so much. We have been retired for the last few years so unfortunately not able to buy more jewelry. We do think of Cornelis and of course reminded of him every time I wear one of his designs. The customer service here is the best! I was not sure what kind of band I wanted and Walter was very patient and made helpful suggestions of what they could do that was different than what was on display. First, I am truly sad that Cornelis is no longer with us; a true artist. He designed my ring as I requested, taking inspiration from 3 of his designs combined; came out exactly as imagined. Beautiful elegant and very different from all the every day wedding rings out there! This was my 3rd wedding ring I was changing because I just did’t quite like what was out there! 10 years later and I’m still in love with my ring! I have my eyes set on another beautiful ring...I’ll be visiting the shop soon! I hope his children will be able to carry on his legacy!
