Cornelis worked with me last year to update my wedding ring, utilizing my original stones but modernizing the setting with a bold, sleek design. I continue to get constant compliments on it. Recently, he helped me design and create a beautiful right-hand ring using a stone that I wanted re-set. He was great to work with and was very helpful in bringing my ideas to fruition. His staff is very friendly and helpful. The computer program they use is awesome, allowing you to actually see what your design will look like before committing. My wife has been collecting Cornelius Hollander jewelry for 35 years. Not only are they wonderful pieces of jewelry but Works of Art. Cornelius was instrumental in founding a major change in the jewelry industry by making his custom pieces wearable art. I engaged Cornelis Hollander, and specifically Tina and Walter, to help me create a custom engagement ring for my fiancé. Both were incredibly patient as we worked through a number of iterations of the ring design to land upon a piece that is truly beautiful, artistic and structurally sound. It was an ambitious undertaking, but Walter really went all out to create an amazing ring! It is just stunning and artistically unique. I had my engagement ring and wedding band custom designed at Cornelis Hollander and it is absolutely beautiful. When my (now) husband and I went into the store, we were immediately taken care of, and were shown so many different options. We ended up taking one of Cornelis' designs, and making it our own. I love that my ring is different, and no one else has one exactly like it. I have received so many compliments over the years and everyone always says they love how different my ring is, and they've never seen anything like it. The craftsmanship and design are impeccable.

We just picked up our engagement ring and couldn't be happier with the work, service and experience we had here. We needed a custom ring made from three heirloom rings that we already had. I first met Cornelis back in 2006 when I purchased a car from him. He was an absolute lunatic in all the best ways, and it showed in both his taste in cars and his stunningly unique jewelry designs. I loved that he stayed in touch with not only creating ultra high end custom pieces but also offering lines of unique, stunning, very affordable things as well.Since he passed away, his wife and son have been keeping things going, and Walter has done a great job filling in his father's shoes, keeping with the same principles of exceptional service that makes their business a no-brainer.I needed to buy an engagement ring about 6 years ago, when Cornelis was still with us, and he took my grandmother's old diamond and designed an absolutely stunning piece around it (pictured below). When it was unfortunately stolen, Jeweler's Mutual insurance paid completely for its replacement, and Walter's recreation of it was so perfect, down to his selection of the diamond, that I literally couldn't tell the difference if you put a gun to my head and a loupe in my hand, and the whole process couldn't have possibly been more hassle free (I don't even live in the state anymore, so everything done with the ring, from first purchase to replacement - was all done over the phone and email) I can't say what I paid, but let me just say that it was un-freaking-believably reasonable.Cornelis also took care of my family's request to have some custom pieces made in memorial of my grandparents. Both Cornelis and Walter have been so good to my family that as long as Walter keeps the business going, he will be getting every single jewelry job that I ever need. It was very sad when Cornelis passed - everyone wore orange on the day of his funeral - even me, who couldn't make it there - but Walter has truly filled his eccentric father's shoes and the business is as spectacular as it ever was.

Walter and the staff at Cornelis Hollander Designs are awesome! Had zero experience with shopping for jewelry, let alone designing a custom piece. They took the time to show me multiple rings and point out the features that accentuated each one, respectively. We compiled the elements I liked from several of them. Within 48hrs I had a rendering of what the ring would look like (didn’t even realize I was designing it with them). They took my feedback, we went back and forth several times (staff is amazingly patient) until it was perfect, and then delivered perfection! The biggest part of this was using stones from an existing ring with heavy sentimental value. I never once felt that I had to worry about the quality of the work, the preservation of the stones or the beauty of the finished ring. The only hard part was hiding it while traveling with my then girlfriend, and now fiancée. Thanks for perfect ring for a perfect person!

My wedding ring is an original CH design. Was honored to meet the designer (Cornelis Hollander) many years ago at the Scottsdale store. Now his son Walter, designed a matching band for my wedding ring, he took my vision and was able to create the most unique band, it is gorgeous! The apple did not fall far from the tree. Walter is fantastic to work with. I love my “new” wedding ring set - if that is even possible. Exceptional workmanship and design. Will be back for a second band. My experiences at Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs have been very positive. I have not been able to wear my wedding ring or engagement ring for many years. Both were too big. I had gone to another jeweler first for my wedding ring and they said they could not fix it. After Hollander's did a great job fixing my wedding ring, I decided to get another setting for my engagement ring. Even my husband commented on how nice it looks. So much nicer than the original setting. Since I have not compared prices, I cannot comment on cost. However, I definitely would recommend the quality of their work.

What an Incredible Experience. Cornelis Hollander deserve 10 Stars! To start, Walter is an incredible jewelry designer. I worked with Tina, Katie and Walter. I wanted a new design for a bracelet that was made in Greece. The piece is called "Evil Eye" or Mati" in Greek. The original design was made with paracord. I took the bracelet to Cornelis Hollander. My initial meeting was with Tina. We discussed options and Walter came up with some great redesign ideas. During to design process, I met with Tina, Katie and Walter. We put our heads together decided on a redesign of the bracelet. Since the main piece of the bracelet is 925 Sterling Silver, and Murano glass, we made the bracelet part in 925 Sterling Silver. The entire staff at Cornelis Hollander are such warm-hearted and very friendly people. They make you feel like they knew you for years. Our next project will be designing a new Sapphire/Diamond ring. After moving to Scottsdale, I’m delighted to have found Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs, a full-service business with a wonderful, helpful staff. They spent considerable time getting to know my taste to assure that the ring designed for my diamond would be perfectly suited to me. There was no rush and no pressure. Walter, a highly skilled designer and craftsman, created a gorgeous ring I’ll enjoy wearing for years to come! In addition to designing that piece, Walter repaired a beautiful ring that is a treasured heirloom, adjusted the sizing on another ring, and updated appraisals on a number of my jewelry pieces. Our first experience with Cornelis was in 2002 when my husband Peter surprised me with a beautiful ring. It was the classic white gold ring where the diamond sets on top of a heart shaped trio of diamonds, the most unique ring I had ever seen. I still love it today! That was the start of our experience with Cornelis and his outstanding designs. Over the next several years, we made it a point to drop in and see the new designs and Peter thoroughly enjoyed talking with Cornelis about anything and everything. And I had the opportunity to buy more jewelry! Peter came home from a fishing trip in Tahiti with a very large black pearl and he just knew that Cornelis was the person to design the perfect ring to best display this magnificent large pearl. I even had Cornelis design a pair of very unique drop earrings made from both yellow and white gold that I had designed in my head and he created them for me exactly as I had pictured. I continue to get so many compliments on them. I never shopped for jewelry anywhere else. Of course it was the beautiful and contemporary designs but Cornelis added that extra special touch with his casual, easy going personality that we liked so much. We have been retired for the last few years so unfortunately not able to buy more jewelry. We do think of Cornelis and of course reminded of him every time I wear one of his designs. My husband and I came in with an engagement ring but were looking for a custom designed wedding band. First, I am truly sad that Cornelis is no longer with us; a true artist. He designed my ring as I requested, taking inspiration from 3 of his designs combined; came out exactly as imagined. Beautiful elegant and very different from all the every day wedding rings out there! This was my 3rd wedding ring I was changing because I just did’t quite like what was out there! 10 years later and I’m still in love with my ring! I have my eyes set on another beautiful ring...I’ll be visiting the shop soon! I hope his children will be able to carry on his legacy! Wow! This place has gorgeous one-of-a kind jewelry! The location has a nice open feeling with lots of natural light so you can see how the jewelry looks in natural light. I brought my ring in to get it appraised. It is a family run business, Christa, the owner was super nice and introduced me to Walter, her son who went in the back to proceed with the appraisal. In the mean time, I perused and looked at the rings, necklaces, bracelets and other jewelry. They are honest and give great advice. There were so many piece that caught my eye, I'll definitely be back to buy a unique piece of jewelry art!

I researched several jewelers in town before choosing CH to design my 20th anniversary diamond ring. I had been saving ideas for over 2 years. I knew I liked specific design elements from several different rings, but I didn't know how they could all possibly come together. CH had tons of designs that were along the same idea that I was looking for- modern but still looks like an actual engagement ring, and of course unique! We sat down with Walter and went over all of my ideas and pictures I had saved over 2 years. He is a true artist! He took his time and came up with several different designs incorporating all of the details I was looking for. I kept changing little things during the design process, but he remained totally calm and understanding- and kept his sense of humor during the entire process! It took a couple month to complete because I kept changing things, but the final ring is exactly everything that I wanted!!! We were so happy with the process and the end result that I had him make my mother's engagement ring into a pendant a couple weeks later! We will definitely be using him for all of our jewelry needs going forward. We just can't recommend him enough!!

Excellent customer service! I had a pair of gold/ diamond earrings that my husband had given me 25 years ago. The clasp had broken And I brought it to Cornelis Hollander for repair. They did such a beautiful job restoring them to the original luster! The repair cost was so reasonable as well I was surprised! I wish I could give them more stars. Thank you to their whole team for doing such a great job.

I have followed Cornelis Hollander's jewelry designs for years and have continued to be amazed with everything he makes. When my husband and I visited his store in August 2011, I was told to pick out my favorite engagement rings so that I could later be surprised. I cannot say enough amazing things about Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs. My now husband and I found them while we were living in Arizona. Loved my ring buying experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and I even got a great deal.
