From the moment I walked in with my family to their store I knew that this place was perfect for what we were looking for. Tina and Walter were so welcoming and easy to work with. They really took my ideas and turned them into a reality- something that I did not know was possible. I have not received my finished ring yet but I have full confidence that it will be everything I was looking for. I cannot recommend them enough. I never thought I would be so crazy about a wedding ring or any piece of jewelry. They were able to put all of my meaningful ideas into the piece of art and I can't wait to have it on my finger!

My fiancé proposed to me with a family heirloom ring as a 'stand-in' for THE ring which he wanted me to design/select as we would be using a gorgeous diamond that he had been bequeathed. He had already done some research and really loved the unique designs offered by Cornelis Hollander. We visited the store and I absolutely fell in love with their designs ~ especially one. My fiancé took me to several other stores to ensure that I would have a ring that was made especially for me. I saw hundreds of beautiful rings but could not stop comparing them to the design I fell in love with in Cornelis Hollander Needless to say, I went back and worked with Tina on making their design Uniquely my own. She was wonderful and patient ~ My ring is perfection and I am so thankful for their fine customer service and craftsmanship!! I am definitely one of their new and loyal customers!

I engaged Cornelis Hollander, and specifically Tina and Walter, to help me create a custom engagement ring for my fiancé. Both were incredibly patient as we worked through a number of iterations of the ring design to land upon a piece that is truly beautiful, artistic and structurally sound. It was an ambitious undertaking, but Walter really went all out to create an amazing ring! It is just stunning and artistically unique. My fiancé just loves it and I could not be happier with this very special piece that memorializes how much we mean to one another. My husband first purchased my engagement ring here, then we went back to tell Cornelis how much I loved it! We went back again for our wedding bands and worked with Walter. The customer service here is the best! I was not sure what kind of band I wanted and Walter was very patient and made helpful suggestions of what they could do that was different than what was on display. We love our rings and I get compliments on mine all of the time!

We just picked up our engagement ring and couldn't be happier with the work, service and experience we had here. We needed a custom ring made from three heirloom rings that we already had. Other jewelers that we talked to were either not excited about doing the work or wanted too long to do it. Walking in the door and meeting Charlene, Cornelis and Walter made us feel instantly at ease and like they had our best interests at heart.. Walter sent us a custom design that was exactly what we talked about within days, and had the ring done in less than two weeks! All of this happened at a very fair affordable price, we will be returning soon to purchase my wedding band.

First, I am truly sad that Cornelis is no longer with us; a true artist. He designed my ring as I requested, taking inspiration from 3 of his designs combined; came out exactly as imagined. Beautiful elegant and very different from all the every day wedding rings out there! This was my 3rd wedding ring I was changing because I just did’t quite like what was out there! 10 years later and I’m still in love with my ring! I brought in heirloom pieces of Jewelry to Cornelis. Most of which didn't fit me and wanted to make a ring with all of the different pieces that I could wear. We collaborated on the design, and he was so much fun to work with. Very professional as well. When I received the ring it exceeded my expectations and is just stunning. My experiences at Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs have been very positive. I have not been able to wear my wedding ring or engagement ring for many years. Both were too big. I had gone to another jeweler first for my wedding ring and they said they could not fix it. After Hollander's did a great job fixing my wedding ring, I decided to get another setting for my engagement ring. Even my husband commented on how nice it looks. So much nicer than the original setting. Since I have not compared prices, I cannot comment on cost. However, I definitely would recommend the quality of their work.

I love using Cornelis Hollander for all my jewelry needs. Everything I’ve had done is custom, but their catalogue is so unique. Walter asked great questions to draw up mock-ups of what I was looking for. Then, he adjusted the models with my feedback and crafted some beautiful pieces. This is a diligent family owned business that matches larger companies in their quality materials and prices, but they have such a unique style. I love telling my friends about this place - I get so many compliments on my jewelry I have to tell them where it is from. Favorite piece is a ring that Walter drew up a model of from a family heirloom. I had lost one of the two pearl earrings, and Walter made the one I had left into a beautiful ring. Love that it is repurposed and keeps meaning but is now a unique style that gets tons of compliments.

Walter is a true artist and genius designer. We came to him with a very special family heirloom engagement ring we wanted to design to not only protect the 3ct marquise, but utilize the original baguettes into a “starship alien engagement ring”. He totally exceeded our expectations in both visually and structurally. I’d recommend anyone here to either purchase a beautiful and unique design or create their own with the aid of Walter’s talent. We’re beyond grateful for all the hard work, talent and care put into making our dream ring.

I had a number of family heirloom pieces that I wanted to recreate into custom designed, modern pieces. Tina and crew were OUTSTANDING!! I made an appointment and they spent over two hours with me reviewing the items I had, and offering design ideas for new pieces. They provided final designs via CAD visuals and their recommendations were incredible! They helped consolidate an overwhelming number of pieces into a few beautiful, modern pieces that will preserve my family heirlooms and create items I will enjoy wearing. I purchased a custom wedding band and engagement ring set that Cornelis made specifically for my fiancé and now wife of Ten Years! My soulmate constantly gets compliments from everyone, everywhere we go. “I’ve never seen a ring like that” “ that’s awesome where did you get that?” My wife says and you never will! She says this was made just for me.....& her eyes sparkle when she says it! I think anyone can go to a box store and buy a mass produced price of jewelry, but why would you? You get one true love in life! Why not get your partner something as rare, special, unique, and beautiful as they are and what they mean to you! This is the most attention and customer service friendly place I’ve ever purchased jewelry from. I have high dollar watches etc from other boutiques however they don’t follow up. I still get follow up email and calls from CH to make sure I’m happy! I was devastated to hear Cornelis had passed but krista ( sorry if I misspelled that) and his son still carry the torch with integrity, design, and style! I don’t usually take time to write reviews, but they took time to make my day special! It’s only fair to be honest and tell you how great this family and brand truly are. I first met Cornelis back in 2006 when I purchased a car from him. He was an absolute lunatic in all the best ways, and it showed in both his taste in cars and his stunningly unique jewelry designs. I loved that he stayed in touch with not only creating ultra high end custom pieces but also offering lines of unique, stunning, very affordable things as well.Since he passed away, his wife and son have been keeping things going, and Walter has done a great job filling in his father's shoes, keeping with the same principles of exceptional service that makes their business a no-brainer.I needed to buy an engagement ring about 6 years ago, when Cornelis was still with us, and he took my grandmother's old diamond and designed an absolutely stunning piece around it (pictured below). When it was unfortunately stolen, Jeweler's Mutual insurance paid completely for its replacement, and Walter's recreation of it was so perfect, down to his selection of the diamond, that I literally couldn't tell the difference if you put a gun to my head and a loupe in my hand, and the whole process couldn't have possibly been more hassle free (I don't even live in the state anymore, so everything done with the ring, from first purchase to replacement - was all done over the phone and email) I can't say what I paid, but let me just say that it was un-freaking-believably reasonable.Cornelis also took care of my family's request to have some custom pieces made in memorial of my grandparents. Both Cornelis and Walter have been so good to my family that as long as Walter keeps the business going, he will be getting every single jewelry job that I ever need. It was very sad when Cornelis passed - everyone wore orange on the day of his funeral - even me, who couldn't make it there - but Walter has truly filled his eccentric father's shoes and the business is as spectacular as it ever was.

I can’t say enough good things about CH! We had a great experience finding them online and then working with Walter on the phone to buy the wedding ring we wanted. They customized our ring to get to the price point we were comfortable with and we loved the results! Then a year later we had Walter design a custom wedding band to fit the ring and it was perfect! My husband went to Cornelius Hollander for a brand new wedding ring after our 12 yr wedding anniversary. Tina was his salesperson , even though the ring wasn't ready by the first date we were given , because Tina said the designer was a perfectionist. I was okay with waiting a little longer after 12 yrs . My husband designed the ring custom made just for me, so it was worth the wait. I am very pleased with the finished product! Thanks Tina! Our first experience with Cornelis was in 2002 when my husband Peter surprised me with a beautiful ring. It was the classic white gold ring where the diamond sets on top of a heart shaped trio of diamonds, the most unique ring I had ever seen. I still love it today! That was the start of our experience with Cornelis and his outstanding designs. Over the next several years, we made it a point to drop in and see the new designs and Peter thoroughly enjoyed talking with Cornelis about anything and everything. And I had the opportunity to buy more jewelry! Peter came home from a fishing trip in Tahiti with a very large black pearl and he just knew that Cornelis was the person to design the perfect ring to best display this magnificent large pearl. I even had Cornelis design a pair of very unique drop earrings made from both yellow and white gold that I had designed in my head and he created them for me exactly as I had pictured. I continue to get so many compliments on them. I never shopped for jewelry anywhere else. Of course it was the beautiful and contemporary designs but Cornelis added that extra special touch with his casual, easy going personality that we liked so much. We have been retired for the last few years so unfortunately not able to buy more jewelry. We do think of Cornelis and of course reminded of him every time I wear one of his designs. My wedding ring is an original CH design. Was honored to meet the designer (Cornelis Hollander) many years ago at the Scottsdale store. Now his son Walter, designed a matching band for my wedding ring, he took my vision and was able to create the most unique band, it is gorgeous! The apple did not fall far from the tree. Walter is fantastic to work with. I love my “new” wedding ring set - if that is even possible. Exceptional workmanship and design. Will be back for a second band. My son also purchased the engagement ring for his fiancé - a fabulous ring from CH. Walter and his staff were extremely helpful and made the purchase a pleasant experience for my son and his fiancé. My boyfriend and I had gone to multiple retail locations to start the process of figuring out what we liked for engagement rings. At every storefront location, it seemed like the process was getting harder and much more stressful. The last stop was Cornelis Hollander. Walking in we knew immediately this experience was going to be different. Not only did it feel like the process of figuring out what we liked and wanted, we were confident in moving forward with custom engagement rings. We worked with Katie, who understood the initial overwhelm and was so helpful. With our experience, and the contrasting experience with other Jewlers, I’d highly recommend coming here. I’m also a vet, just returned home and the loud noises of big Jewlers/the flashy bs don’t help me when trying to stay focused, too many people creates a sense of anxiety. I can’t speak highly of this location and their team enough. It’s quiet, a one on one experience that feels like they have your best interest at heart. You can tell they love what they do.

I researched several jewelers in town before choosing CH to design my 20th anniversary diamond ring. I had been saving ideas for over 2 years. I knew I liked specific design elements from several different rings, but I didn't know how they could all possibly come together. CH had tons of designs that were along the same idea that I was looking for- modern but still looks like an actual engagement ring, and of course unique! We sat down with Walter and went over all of my ideas and pictures I had saved over 2 years. He is a true artist! He took his time and came up with several different designs incorporating all of the details I was looking for. I kept changing little things during the design process, but he remained totally calm and understanding- and kept his sense of humor during the entire process! It took a couple month to complete because I kept changing things, but the final ring is exactly everything that I wanted!!! We were so happy with the process and the end result that I had him make my mother's engagement ring into a pendant a couple weeks later! We will definitely be using him for all of our jewelry needs going forward. We just can't recommend him enough!!
