Okay, so I never should have looked at the ads, that would have saved me lots of money. But, I did, and then a detour had to occur so I could see the rings in person (we were in Sedona). First, I was in touch with Walter and later Tina from Hollander Jewelry. Tina was the person with whom I met after our correspondence. She was also the person who looked up all the prices of the rings that I had seen (in the ad) and lusted for (possibly) and then got back to me via emails prior to my visit. It was inevitable that I would find a ring that I wanted, the question was would I be willing to fork out the money. Well, I did. The ring arrived (Tina kept in touch, so I knew when to expect the ring), which was a good thing because my post office left it at my front door. I don't know what else could have been done because I was supposed to sign for the package, but that issue is "on" my post office, not the store. My ring is utterly lovely and I feel like a young lady who has to stare at her shiny glittery ring.

Walter is a true artist and genius designer. We came to him with a very special family heirloom engagement ring we wanted to design to not only protect the 3ct marquise, but utilize the original baguettes into a “starship alien engagement ring”. He totally exceeded our expectations in both visually and structurally. I’d recommend anyone here to either purchase a beautiful and unique design or create their own with the aid of Walter’s talent. We’re beyond grateful for all the hard work, talent and care put into making our dream ring.

I first met Cornelis back in 2006 when I purchased a car from him. He was an absolute lunatic in all the best ways, and it showed in both his taste in cars and his stunningly unique jewelry designs. I loved that he stayed in touch with not only creating ultra high end custom pieces but also offering lines of unique, stunning, very affordable things as well.Since he passed away, his wife and son have been keeping things going, and Walter has done a great job filling in his father's shoes, keeping with the same principles of exceptional service that makes their business a no-brainer.I needed to buy an engagement ring about 6 years ago, when Cornelis was still with us, and he took my grandmother's old diamond and designed an absolutely stunning piece around it (pictured below). When it was unfortunately stolen, Jeweler's Mutual insurance paid completely for its replacement, and Walter's recreation of it was so perfect, down to his selection of the diamond, that I literally couldn't tell the difference if you put a gun to my head and a loupe in my hand, and the whole process couldn't have possibly been more hassle free (I don't even live in the state anymore, so everything done with the ring, from first purchase to replacement - was all done over the phone and email) I can't say what I paid, but let me just say that it was un-freaking-believably reasonable.Cornelis also took care of my family's request to have some custom pieces made in memorial of my grandparents. Both Cornelis and Walter have been so good to my family that as long as Walter keeps the business going, he will be getting every single jewelry job that I ever need. It was very sad when Cornelis passed - everyone wore orange on the day of his funeral - even me, who couldn't make it there - but Walter has truly filled his eccentric father's shoes and the business is as spectacular as it ever was.

What an amazing experience! From the moment we walked in the door to the final delivery, every interaction was above and beyond. Tina has the ability to truly see and hear her customer, asking the right questions along the way in order to guide you to the perfect selection. Her knowledge was evident and her passion for her work even more so. I am now the proud owner of a magnificent ring form Cornelis Hollander: unique and fabulous, it is a joy to wear and I've received many comments regarding how stunning it is.....and it makes me feel unique and fabulous as well! Definitely the place to shop for great service, high quality, and beautiful pieces.

Loved my ring buying experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and I even got a great deal. I was terrified when starting my search for an engagement ring but the staff at Cornelis put me at ease and assured me they will try to find me a ring that works within my budget and they have easy to understand and qualify for financing. Wow! This place has gorgeous one-of-a kind jewelry! The location has a nice open feeling with lots of natural light so you can see how the jewelry looks in natural light. I brought my ring in to get it appraised. It is a family run business, Christa, the owner was super nice and introduced me to Walter, her son who went in the back to proceed with the appraisal. In the mean time, I perused and looked at the rings, necklaces, bracelets and other jewelry. They are honest and give great advice. There were so many piece that caught my eye, I'll definitely be back to buy a unique piece of jewelry art!

My wife couldn't be happier with her rings. She proudly wears them. The Hollanders not only make original designs that are amazing but they will work with you to design a one of a kind design to perfectly fit your vision just like they did for me. I had my engagement ring and wedding band custom designed at Cornelis Hollander and it is absolutely beautiful. When my (now) husband and I went into the store, we were immediately taken care of, and were shown so many different options. We ended up taking one of Cornelis' designs, and making it our own. I love that my ring is different, and no one else has one exactly like it. I have received so many compliments over the years and everyone always says they love how different my ring is, and they've never seen anything like it. The craftsmanship and design are impeccable.

I purchased a BEAUTIFUL wedding ring, a pair of diamond studs, and two high end watches from Cornelis. He had been my jeweler to go to because I TRUST him completely. Not only his designs are exquisite but his service is beyond satisfactory. I lost two small diamonds in the setting and Cornelis, not only replaced them at no cost, but he cleaned and polished the ring for me. I miss Cornelis but I have no doubt the team he left behind is doing an excellent job as the legend himself.

I lost a ring that was a meaningful gift from my boyfriend. After debating, I contact Cornelis Hollander to have it remade. Tina was extremely helpful, she found the information on the ring immediately, told me it would take 3 weeks, but somehow they did it much faster. Tina was very sweet, responsive, and professional. I have followed Cornelis Hollander's jewelry designs for years and have continued to be amazed with everything he makes. When my husband and I visited his store in August 2011, I was told to pick out my favorite engagement rings so that I could later be surprised. The shock was bigger than I expected when he popped the question because a new custom ring had been made that combined all of my favorite design elements. Thank you so much Cornelis!

Our first experience with Cornelis was in 2002 when my husband Peter surprised me with a beautiful ring. It was the classic white gold ring where the diamond sets on top of a heart shaped trio of diamonds, the most unique ring I had ever seen. I still love it today! That was the start of our experience with Cornelis and his outstanding designs. Over the next several years, we made it a point to drop in and see the new designs and Peter thoroughly enjoyed talking with Cornelis about anything and everything. And I had the opportunity to buy more jewelry! Peter came home from a fishing trip in Tahiti with a very large black pearl and he just knew that Cornelis was the person to design the perfect ring to best display this magnificent large pearl. I even had Cornelis design a pair of very unique drop earrings made from both yellow and white gold that I had designed in my head and he created them for me exactly as I had pictured. I continue to get so many compliments on them. I never shopped for jewelry anywhere else. Of course it was the beautiful and contemporary designs but Cornelis added that extra special touch with his casual, easy going personality that we liked so much. We have been retired for the last few years so unfortunately not able to buy more jewelry. We do think of Cornelis and of course reminded of him every time I wear one of his designs. First, I am truly sad that Cornelis is no longer with us; a true artist. He designed my ring as I requested, taking inspiration from 3 of his designs combined; came out exactly as imagined. Beautiful elegant and very different from all the every day wedding rings out there! This was my 3rd wedding ring I was changing because I just did’t quite like what was out there! 10 years later and I’m still in love with my ring! I have my eyes set on another beautiful ring...I’ll be visiting the shop soon! I hope his children will be able to carry on his legacy! My husband and I found this place after leaving another jeweler in tears. We wanted to encorporate my engagement ring with my two grandmothers' rings. The first jeweler we tried kept all three rings for 8 weeks only to give us an option for a completely new ring using NONE of the other rings we already had! So dumb! We drove by Cornelis Hollander and even though they were closing in 30 minutes, they took rings, listened to what I wanted and said they'd have a plan by the next morning. Not only did they send me a sketch of my ring, but they also did a 3-D mockup so I could see how it would look. They also had it completed in 8 days! I am so happy with my ring. They will be our jeweler for life! We were very sad to hear of Cornelis's passing, but know his son and the rest of the staff will easily continue the highest level of service and design. I have been a customer of Cornelius Hollander Design for at least 20 years. They are ethical and have nothing but the highest integrity. I have many beautiful pieces designed and made personally by Cornelius. Unfortunately, he passed away due to illness several years ago. His son Walter has taken over the business and he has inherited his fathers creativity and artistry, but adds a twist of his own. He shares the same integrity that they have always had. He is redesigning my wedding band, which I look forward to.

Their quality is exceptional! All their pieces have perfect finishes. Their attention to detail is one of a kind. My husband picked the perfect engagement ring for me 18 years ago, along with our wedding bands. Sadly he recently past away from Covid -19. I adore this place! I have never been much of a jewelry gal ( which i know sound unbelievable), mainly because i always end up loosing it, so I do not even want to risk owning it. However, when I stumbled into Cornelis Hollander's shop, I instantly fell in love and knew my issue with loosing jewelry would soon gone. They have a two piece engagement ring that is to die for. I loved trying it on. The design was so unique and gorgeous I did not want to take it off. Walter was the one that helped us. He was incredible. I researched several jewelers in town before choosing CH to design my 20th anniversary diamond ring. I had been saving ideas for over 2 years. I knew I liked specific design elements from several different rings, but I didn't know how they could all possibly come together. CH had tons of designs that were along the same idea that I was looking for- modern but still looks like an actual engagement ring, and of course unique! We sat down with Walter and went over all of my ideas and pictures I had saved over 2 years. He is a true artist! He took his time and came up with several different designs incorporating all of the details I was looking for. I kept changing little things during the design process, but he remained totally calm and understanding- and kept his sense of humor during the entire process! It took a couple month to complete because I kept changing things, but the final ring is exactly everything that I wanted!!! We were so happy with the process and the end result that I had him make my mother's engagement ring into a pendant a couple weeks later! We will definitely be using him for all of our jewelry needs going forward. We just can't recommend him enough!!

Absolutely love my engagement ring from Cornelis Hollander!!! My fiance and I worked with Walter to have a diamond I inherited set into a new setting. The entire process was easy and Walter was very professional. We were considering other options from Hamras, Tiffany's and Cartier, but I loved this design and wanted something more unique. I couldn't be happier with how the ring turned out! These iphone pictures don't do it justice. I highly recommend C.H. if you're looking to have custom work done! 🙂 Just updating to add that we had Walter make me a wedding band with pink diamonds & it turned out beautiful!!! It compliments the ring perfectly. I also like having the band to wear by itself when I travel overseas since it is less flashy. It is very cute, almost heart-shaped, and looks great on it's own! FYI - the photo of the two rings together was also taken with my iphone, so the quality isn't great.

I love using Cornelis Hollander for all my jewelry needs. Everything I’ve had done is custom, but their catalogue is so unique. Walter asked great questions to draw up mock-ups of what I was looking for. Then, he adjusted the models with my feedback and crafted some beautiful pieces. This is a diligent family owned business that matches larger companies in their quality materials and prices, but they have such a unique style. I love telling my friends about this place - I get so many compliments on my jewelry I have to tell them where it is from. Favorite piece is a ring that Walter drew up a model of from a family heirloom. I had lost one of the two pearl earrings, and Walter made the one I had left into a beautiful ring. Love that it is repurposed and keeps meaning but is now a unique style that gets tons of compliments.
