Our first experience with Cornelis was in 2002 when my husband Peter surprised me with a beautiful ring. It was the classic white gold ring where the diamond sets on top of a heart shaped trio of diamonds, the most unique ring I had ever seen. I still love it today! That was the start of our experience with Cornelis and his outstanding designs. Over the next several years, we made it a point to drop in and see the new designs and Peter thoroughly enjoyed talking with Cornelis about anything and everything. And I had the opportunity to buy more jewelry! Peter came home from a fishing trip in Tahiti with a very large black pearl and he just knew that Cornelis was the person to design the perfect ring to best display this magnificent large pearl. I even had Cornelis design a pair of very unique drop earrings made from both yellow and white gold that I had designed in my head and he created them for me exactly as I had pictured. I continue to get so many compliments on them. I never shopped for jewelry anywhere else. Of course it was the beautiful and contemporary designs but Cornelis added that extra special touch with his casual, easy going personality that we liked so much. We have been retired for the last few years so unfortunately not able to buy more jewelry. We do think of Cornelis and of course reminded of him every time I wear one of his designs. My husband picked the perfect engagement ring for me 18 years ago, along with our wedding bands. Sadly he recently past away from Covid -19. I will treasure those rings for the rest of my life and will pass them on to my daughter for her to treasure as well. I can trust they will last forever due to their quality. My husband first purchased my engagement ring here, then we went back to tell Cornelis how much I loved it! We went back again for our wedding bands and worked with Walter. The customer service here is the best! I was not sure what kind of band I wanted and Walter was very patient and made helpful suggestions of what they could do that was different than what was on display. We love our rings and I get compliments on mine all of the time!

I had my engagement ring and wedding band custom designed at Cornelis Hollander and it is absolutely beautiful. When my (now) husband and I went into the store, we were immediately taken care of, and were shown so many different options. We ended up taking one of Cornelis' designs, and making it our own. I love that my ring is different, and no one else has one exactly like it. I have received so many compliments over the years and everyone always says they love how different my ring is, and they've never seen anything like it. The craftsmanship and design are impeccable.

My wedding ring is an original CH design. Was honored to meet the designer (Cornelis Hollander) many years ago at the Scottsdale store. Now his son Walter, designed a matching band for my wedding ring, he took my vision and was able to create the most unique band, it is gorgeous! The apple did not fall far from the tree. Walter is fantastic to work with. I love my “new” wedding ring set - if that is even possible. Exceptional workmanship and design. Will be back for a second band. Loved my ring buying experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and I even got a great deal. I was terrified when starting my search for an engagement ring but the staff at Cornelis put me at ease and assured me they will try to find me a ring that works within my budget and they have easy to understand and qualify for financing. I have been using this jeweler for years and I love their original designs. Many are so simplistic that they yell classic and you know they will hold up over time. I have used their designs and I've had them make some of my own designs. Either way the pieces come out perfectly. Absolutely love my engagement ring from Cornelis Hollander!!! My fiance and I worked with Walter to have a diamond I inherited set into a new setting. The entire process was easy and Walter was very professional. We were considering other options from Hamras, Tiffany's and Cartier, but I loved this design and wanted something more unique. I couldn't be happier with how the ring turned out! These iphone pictures don't do it justice. I highly recommend C.H. if you're looking to have custom work done! 🙂 Just updating to add that we had Walter make me a wedding band with pink diamonds & it turned out beautiful!!! It compliments the ring perfectly. I also like having the band to wear by itself when I travel overseas since it is less flashy. It is very cute, almost heart-shaped, and looks great on it's own! FYI - the photo of the two rings together was also taken with my iphone, so the quality isn't great.

I love using Cornelis Hollander for all my jewelry needs. Everything I’ve had done is custom, but their catalogue is so unique. Walter asked great questions to draw up mock-ups of what I was looking for. Then, he adjusted the models with my feedback and crafted some beautiful pieces. This is a diligent family owned business that matches larger companies in their quality materials and prices, but they have such a unique style. I love telling my friends about this place - I get so many compliments on my jewelry I have to tell them where it is from. Favorite piece is a ring that Walter drew up a model of from a family heirloom. I had lost one of the two pearl earrings, and Walter made the one I had left into a beautiful ring. Love that it is repurposed and keeps meaning but is now a unique style that gets tons of compliments.

Cornelis worked with me last year to update my wedding ring, utilizing my original stones but modernizing the setting with a bold, sleek design. I continue to get constant compliments on it. Recently, he helped me design and create a beautiful right-hand ring using a stone that I wanted re-set. He was great to work with and was very helpful in bringing my ideas to fruition. His staff is very friendly and helpful. The computer program they use is awesome, allowing you to actually see what your design will look like before committing. Love, love, love both rings and highly recommend Cornelis for his unique and stunning designs.

I purchased a custom wedding band and engagement ring set that Cornelis made specifically for my fiancé and now wife of Ten Years! My soulmate constantly gets compliments from everyone, everywhere we go. “I’ve never seen a ring like that” “ that’s awesome where did you get that?” My wife says and you never will! She says this was made just for me.....& her eyes sparkle when she says it! I think anyone can go to a box store and buy a mass produced price of jewelry, but why would you? You get one true love in life! Why not get your partner something as rare, special, unique, and beautiful as they are and what they mean to you! This is the most attention and customer service friendly place I’ve ever purchased jewelry from. I have high dollar watches etc from other boutiques however they don’t follow up. I still get follow up email and calls from CH to make sure I’m happy! I have been a customer for almost 20 years now. I traveled from Denver to Scottsadle to get an engagement ring created...for round 2 ; ) Cornelis designed my first tension set engagement ring that had my grandmother's diamond in it. So when it was time to re-design, knowing I wanted to use the same stone, there was no place else I was going to go. It was a pleasure to meet and work with Walter, and I was sorry to hear about the passing of his father. I brought my first ring that his dad designed with me, and I saw his eyes light up upon holding it. Once we knew I was going with another Hollander design, he asked to purchase it from me. That meant so much...as it was from another time in my life, but it held many great memories and I hope someone else enjoys wearing it as much as I did. And as for my NEW ring, it's AMAZING and I get so many compliments on it. I very much feel like part of the family at Hollander and would not go anywhere else for my jewelry needs. I first met Cornelis back in 2006 when I purchased a car from him. He was an absolute lunatic in all the best ways, and it showed in both his taste in cars and his stunningly unique jewelry designs. I loved that he stayed in touch with not only creating ultra high end custom pieces but also offering lines of unique, stunning, very affordable things as well.Since he passed away, his wife and son have been keeping things going, and Walter has done a great job filling in his father's shoes, keeping with the same principles of exceptional service that makes their business a no-brainer.I needed to buy an engagement ring about 6 years ago, when Cornelis was still with us, and he took my grandmother's old diamond and designed an absolutely stunning piece around it (pictured below). When it was unfortunately stolen, Jeweler's Mutual insurance paid completely for its replacement, and Walter's recreation of it was so perfect, down to his selection of the diamond, that I literally couldn't tell the difference if you put a gun to my head and a loupe in my hand, and the whole process couldn't have possibly been more hassle free (I don't even live in the state anymore, so everything done with the ring, from first purchase to replacement - was all done over the phone and email) I can't say what I paid, but let me just say that it was un-freaking-believably reasonable.Cornelis also took care of my family's request to have some custom pieces made in memorial of my grandparents. Both Cornelis and Walter have been so good to my family that as long as Walter keeps the business going, he will be getting every single jewelry job that I ever need. It was very sad when Cornelis passed - everyone wore orange on the day of his funeral - even me, who couldn't make it there - but Walter has truly filled his eccentric father's shoes and the business is as spectacular as it ever was.

This is my favorite jewelry store to go and look around. All the jewelry is hand made and one of a kind! Always kind people working here that help you out and explain everything clear. We got our Wedding rings here, after talking with the owner he supplied us with what jewel works with the right metal we choose for our rings. It was a quick process and we are more than happy with the experience!!

I brought in heirloom pieces of Jewelry to Cornelis. Most of which didn't fit me and wanted to make a ring with all of the different pieces that I could wear. We collaborated on the design, and he was so much fun to work with. Very professional as well. When I received the ring it exceeded my expectations and is just stunning. Highly Recommend! I purchased my husbands ring after searching for months. I wanted to find something unique but nothing stood out enough until I found Cornelis Hollander in Old Town Scottsdale. We looked at all of the rings in his showroom and asked him to modify/customize one his own designs for us. On one occasion my husband had accidentally banged his ring on a door handle so hard that a few stones were knocked out and when we took it in for repair, they were replaced and the ring made to look new again at no cost to us. Flash forward a few more years when my husband's ring was lost. He loved the design so much that we had it replaced with exactly the same design, only changing the metal from 18k gold to Cobalt. We have been very pleased with their level of customer service and would highly recommend Cornelis Hollander if you want something unique, substantial and modern. It has been almost 14 years since our original purchase and probably about 10 since we replaced. Though we haven't taken it in for polishing in years, it still looks great!

My experiences at Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs have been very positive. I have not been able to wear my wedding ring or engagement ring for many years. Both were too big. I had gone to another jeweler first for my wedding ring and they said they could not fix it. After Hollander's did a great job fixing my wedding ring, I decided to get another setting for my engagement ring. Even my husband commented on how nice it looks. So much nicer than the original setting. Since I have not compared prices, I cannot comment on cost. However, I definitely would recommend the quality of their work.
