My husband first purchased my engagement ring here, then we went back to tell Cornelis how much I loved it! We went back again for our wedding bands and worked with Walter. The customer service here is the best! I was not sure what kind of band I wanted and Walter was very patient and made helpful suggestions of what they could do that was different than what was on display. We love our rings and I get compliments on mine all of the time!

Walter is a true artist and genius designer. We came to him with a very special family heirloom engagement ring we wanted to design to not only protect the 3ct marquise, but utilize the original baguettes into a “starship alien engagement ring”. He totally exceeded our expectations in both visually and structurally. I’d recommend anyone here to either purchase a beautiful and unique design or create their own with the aid of Walter’s talent. I have been a customer of Cornelius Hollander Design for at least 20 years. They are ethical and have nothing but the highest integrity. I have many beautiful pieces designed and made personally by Cornelius. Unfortunately, he passed away due to illness several years ago. His son Walter has taken over the business and he has inherited his fathers creativity and artistry, but adds a twist of his own. He shares the same integrity that they have always had. He is redesigning my wedding band, which I look forward to.

My husband and I found this place after leaving another jeweler in tears. We wanted to encorporate my engagement ring with my two grandmothers' rings. The first jeweler we tried kept all three rings for 8 weeks only to give us an option for a completely new ring using NONE of the other rings we already had! So dumb! We drove by Cornelis Hollander and even though they were closing in 30 minutes, they took rings, listened to what I wanted and said they'd have a plan by the next morning. Not only did they send me a sketch of my ring, but they also did a 3-D mockup so I could see how it would look. They also had it completed in 8 days! I am so happy with my ring. They will be our jeweler for life! We were very sad to hear of Cornelis's passing, but know his son and the rest of the staff will easily continue the highest level of service and design. I have been using this jeweler for years and I love their original designs. Many are so simplistic that they yell classic and you know they will hold up over time. I have used their designs and I've had them make some of my own designs. Either way the pieces come out perfectly. I am often stopped and asked where I bought my jewelry and without a moment of hesitation, I recommend Cornelis Hollander Jewelry Designs. There aren't enough adjectives or enough stars to totally describe the wonderful experience that you will have in this store.

I lost a ring that was a meaningful gift from my boyfriend. After debating, I contact Cornelis Hollander to have it remade. Tina was extremely helpful, she found the information on the ring immediately, told me it would take 3 weeks, but somehow they did it much faster. Tina was very sweet, responsive, and professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. And the ring, just stunning, unique, and perfect. I am constantly getting compliments and would refer anyone in a heartbeat. Walter and the team at Cornelis Hollander Jewelry were outstanding. From email response to in-person customer service, I felt confident that they would be able to handle my needs. My first job was fairly standard with the sizing of a platinum band, while my second job was to restore an antique heirloom ring. The job entailed shank replacement where yellow gold was used instead of rose gold plus sapphire replacement to match the original center stone. Both rings were completed beautifully, but Walter exceeded my expectations by ensuring my antique was fully restored with new prongs to ensure it will last another 100+ years. I highly recommend Cornelis Hollander Jewlery whether you want a custom piece, a more traditional piece or just your everyday repairs.

I purchased a BEAUTIFUL wedding ring, a pair of diamond studs, and two high end watches from Cornelis. He had been my jeweler to go to because I TRUST him completely. Not only his designs are exquisite but his service is beyond satisfactory. I lost two small diamonds in the setting and Cornelis, not only replaced them at no cost, but he cleaned and polished the ring for me. I miss Cornelis but I have no doubt the team he left behind is doing an excellent job as the legend himself.

This is my favorite jewelry store to go and look around. All the jewelry is hand made and one of a kind! Always kind people working here that help you out and explain everything clear. We got our Wedding rings here, after talking with the owner he supplied us with what jewel works with the right metal we choose for our rings. It was a quick process and we are more than happy with the experience!!

What an Incredible Experience. Cornelis Hollander deserve 10 Stars! To start, Walter is an incredible jewelry designer. I worked with Tina, Katie and Walter. I wanted a new design for a bracelet that was made in Greece. The piece is called "Evil Eye" or Mati" in Greek. The original design was made with paracord. I took the bracelet to Cornelis Hollander. My initial meeting was with Tina. We discussed options and Walter came up with some great redesign ideas. During to design process, I met with Tina, Katie and Walter. We put our heads together decided on a redesign of the bracelet. Since the main piece of the bracelet is 925 Sterling Silver, and Murano glass, we made the bracelet part in 925 Sterling Silver. The entire staff at Cornelis Hollander are such warm-hearted and very friendly people. They make you feel like they knew you for years. Our next project will be designing a new Sapphire/Diamond ring. We were referred to Walter at Cornelis Hollander by a mutual friend to help with the design of an engagement ring. Walter was incredibly patient and kind while we sorted through tons of options and designs. He also helped us source a diamond within our budget that was at least half the price of what other jewelers were quoting. He ended up designing a custom ring that is absolutely perfect for me. I would definitely recommend Walter to anyone who is looking for custom or uniquely designed jewelry.

Walter and the staff at Cornelis Hollander Designs are awesome! Had zero experience with shopping for jewelry, let alone designing a custom piece. They took the time to show me multiple rings and point out the features that accentuated each one, respectively. We compiled the elements I liked from several of them. Within 48hrs I had a rendering of what the ring would look like (didn’t even realize I was designing it with them). They took my feedback, we went back and forth several times (staff is amazingly patient) until it was perfect, and then delivered perfection! The biggest part of this was using stones from an existing ring with heavy sentimental value. I never once felt that I had to worry about the quality of the work, the preservation of the stones or the beauty of the finished ring. The only hard part was hiding it while traveling with my then girlfriend, and now fiancée. Thanks for perfect ring for a perfect person!

I adore this place! I have never been much of a jewelry gal ( which i know sound unbelievable), mainly because i always end up loosing it, so I do not even want to risk owning it. However, when I stumbled into Cornelis Hollander's shop, I instantly fell in love and knew my issue with loosing jewelry would soon gone. They have a two piece engagement ring that is to die for. I loved trying it on. The design was so unique and gorgeous I did not want to take it off. Walter was the one that helped us. He was incredible. I would suggest stopping by to take a look at their wonderful pieces, even if you are not in the market for some new jewelry.

Excellent customer service! I had a pair of gold/ diamond earrings that my husband had given me 25 years ago. The clasp had broken And I brought it to Cornelis Hollander for repair. They did such a beautiful job restoring them to the original luster! The repair cost was so reasonable as well I was surprised! I wish I could give them more stars. My jewelry purchase and experience with Cornelis Hollander has been exceptional! The quality and uniqueness of the designer piece I selected as my wedding ring, continues to impress even after almost 20 years. Dec 2020With my upcoming wedding anniversary coming up, I went and met with Walter to look at the various ring designs in person for a custom piece my husband was getting me. Mind you, I already knew that my new ring would be a Cornelis Hollander band- I fell in love with his designs the first time I saw them at least 10yrs ago and I finally was ready to get what I really wanted...And I wanted a Green Tourmaline ring like the one Cornelis Hollander designed!He was very helpful even at our first in person consultation and then we kept in contact over email within the next weeks with the various details of the ring design and cost estimates. At no point did I feel pressured or like Walter was being a "sales person", the whole process really felt casual, flexible... and I felt heard and understood and never rushed or pushed. When I got the visual of the approximate ring, I was so excited and then when I went in to try the wax sample, I was elated- their rings have a heft and a bold look to them that I just love and I didn't have a doubt it would be gorgeous once cast. I am in love with this beauty!Walter, thank you so much for your patience and working with me to get the piece I've been wanting for a decade! I feel so proud just to have this little piece of your father's creative legacy!

I have been a customer for almost 20 years now. I traveled from Denver to Scottsadle to get an engagement ring created...for round 2 ; ) Cornelis designed my first tension set engagement ring that had my grandmother's diamond in it. So when it was time to re-design, knowing I wanted to use the same stone, there was no place else I was going to go. It was a pleasure to meet and work with Walter, and I was sorry to hear about the passing of his father. I brought my first ring that his dad designed with me, and I saw his eyes light up upon holding it. Once we knew I was going with another Hollander design, he asked to purchase it from me. That meant so much...as it was from another time in my life, but it held many great memories and I hope someone else enjoys wearing it as much as I did. And as for my NEW ring, it's AMAZING and I get so many compliments on it. I very much feel like part of the family at Hollander and would not go anywhere else for my jewelry needs. Our first experience with Cornelis was in 2002 when my husband Peter surprised me with a beautiful ring. It was the classic white gold ring where the diamond sets on top of a heart shaped trio of diamonds, the most unique ring I had ever seen. I still love it today! That was the start of our experience with Cornelis and his outstanding designs. Over the next several years, we made it a point to drop in and see the new designs and Peter thoroughly enjoyed talking with Cornelis about anything and everything. And I had the opportunity to buy more jewelry! Peter came home from a fishing trip in Tahiti with a very large black pearl and he just knew that Cornelis was the person to design the perfect ring to best display this magnificent large pearl. I even had Cornelis design a pair of very unique drop earrings made from both yellow and white gold that I had designed in my head and he created them for me exactly as I had pictured. I continue to get so many compliments on them. I never shopped for jewelry anywhere else. Of course it was the beautiful and contemporary designs but Cornelis added that extra special touch with his casual, easy going personality that we liked so much. We have been retired for the last few years so unfortunately not able to buy more jewelry. We do think of Cornelis and of course reminded of him every time I wear one of his designs.
