The next step in our design process is to meet either in person or remotely with one of our designers. Suppose you will surprise your significant other. In that case, we invite you to share their style preferences and additional pertinent information, as this allows our designers to determine what they will love wearing and sketch ideas for you to visualize. The discovery process is also the optimal time to show us any heirloom pieces that you may want to incorporate into the design. Once we’ve uncovered your significant other’s unique style, we can provide you with an approximate cost and time estimate, then move on to the next phase in our design process.

Three-Dimensional Design Visualization

 

Because all designs are made uniquely for the wearer, our designers use sophisticated computer-aided design software to bring your vision for exclusive, personalized custom engagement rings to life. In addition, we will create detailed renderings of what the finished design will look like, providing you with a three-dimensional prototype and allowing you to accurately assess the design and provide feedback, including making alterations.

 

Casting and Stone Setting

 

Whether platinum or gold – the latter of which is available in various tones such as rose, yellow, white, or two-tone – this is the stage in which the custom engagement rings will be cast in the precious metal that you selected. Once the ring has been cast, it will be sent to a trusted, professional gemstone setter who will painstakingly set the center stone. Cornelis Hollander only uses diamonds that the Kimberly Process strictly governs. This international initiative promotes transparency in the industry to eliminate the destructive trade of conflict.

You’ll only receive the highest-quality stones when you work with Cornelis Hollander. After the jewelry has passed a thorough quality inspection, we will apply your desired finish. Finishing options include polishing, brushing, satin-finishing, sandblasting, and more. It will then receive a final review before moving on to the last phase in our design process, delivery.
